I think it is really funny when I consider all of the things I “knew” were best for me. Especially the ones that did not work out the way I expected. A while back Garth Brooks had a song called “Unanswered Prayers” basically explaining that those are often some of “God’s greatest gifts.” Despite the messenger, the message really hits home.

Do we ever learn? Probably not. I even told my wife that I liked her hair best long. Sure I liked it long, but when she finally got it cut (she is after all her own person) I like it this way too. How fickle huh? In fact it is sometimes so bad that I think we even get a bit of a supernatural nudge, just enough to get us going toward what God knows we should be going toward. Like our current post overseas. We kinda got nudged this way, kept at it until we got here, and now we see that God really does know what He is doing.

Ah… sometimes we just need to look in the mirror and bust a gut laughing!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! You goofy bag of bones, what has taking yourself so seriously gotten ya? Huh? Really, not laughing at you… I’m laughing with you. Now on the count of 3, lets all laugh out loud… really… ready 1, 2, … 3!
