It is insane the things that are happening in the world. Chavez actually thought people would vote to make his term life long. The only thing crazier is the fact that the actual election result was ever revealed. Now, does anyone think he will gracefully step aside? We shall see. Mugabe has put himself into the history books with the likes of Hussein and Hitler. Another tyrant willing to arrest or kill anyone who stands in his way. North Korea has apparently succumbed to the U.S. sanctions. Kim Jong Il (iL) without nukes is probably a good thing. Considering the North Korean army (and even civilians just for fun) still train by stabbing scarecrows dressed like 1960s U.S. military. Did you know we are technically still at war with North Korea and this is only a ceasefire? It is sad that they like to stab effigies of my fellow Americans but bayonet practice is not as worrisome as nuclear tests.

Then there is the good ole’ U.S.A. Hilary is out of the race. It is a bit interesting that the potentially first ever black president was competing with the potentially first ever woman president for the democratic nomination. Then the republicans have a terminally caucasian military hero whose only newsworthy trait is his age. It does not seem likely that the republicans will get very far this time. The war in Iraq (along with defense and the lot) is not very popular today. McCain actually seems to represent what so many folks dislike these days. My formula can be simplified to basically no person with anything resembling a military background will be popular in this next election.

Human history has proven again and again that the majority vote is as much a fallacy as group think. Our nation has padded the effects of it by offering a president 4 years in most cases to do his best. So we swing back and forth like a pendulum. The dems for 8, the republicans for 8, dems for 4, repubs for 4, dems for 8… blaa, blaa… I’m just trying to get a grip here. The U.S.A. is unequalled in all the world when we are single-minded, especially when we obliterate injustices. It’s in our blood, and our history. We would not accept the rule of tyrants, and now most don’t feel it is fair to enjoy our liberties while tyrants continue to oppress the weak around the world.

I’m as tired of seeing our military men in harms way as the next. I’m just determined not to be so fickle. Our Revolution has been done, followed by our Civil War, also done (at least for the sane folks). Other country’s are yet to come. Some would say we have no right to interfere. There’s an irony for you. How many know that we may well have lost the Revolutionary War if it had not been for the French “interfering”? … HA! Very ironic.

So we interfere. I’ll admit it… I’m proud that we interfere. When it is motivated by a desire to see justice I am proud. Many argue that oil or money are the motivations. I find it hard to claim that. If it were the only motivation we surely would have invaded Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq or Afghanistan. We surely would have actually taken oil, or money, instead of spending so much of it. If it were the only motivation we would declare OPEC to be an empire of evil instead of North Korea. The oil cartel is wreaking havoc on the American economy, but no one is rushing to attack, because that is not what motivates us. It is justice that motivates us. Maybe I’m an idealist, but I still think it is true.

Revolutions have a strange effect on people. When we are scared we vote military, when we are fat, dumb, and happy, we vote economy, we vote neato, we may even vote entertainment! God willing I will never be fat, dumb, and happy until everyone else in the world is. When everyone is fat, dumb, and happy… then maybe I’ll care what a movie star has to say about politics. Until then I say be proud to be an American when America is what evil leaders hate most. Be proud that they use their propaganda machines to propagate their hate for us because it means we are on the right side. Consider this, sure most North Koreans hate Americans, but they also call Kim Jong Il “the great leader” and worship him like a god. All this while he starves them, murders their family members, and locks them in at the borders. When was the last time someone fled South Korea risking their life to make it North? Those people are deceived, and their hate is part of the deception. They are lied to every day from the day they are born. Don’t be surprised if they can’t even imagine liberty and freedom.

A Revolution is on, truth against lies. America must first and foremost always stand for truth. One nation, under God…indivisible, with liberty, and justice for ALL!

Happy Independence day world!
